Managing dashboards with Google Data Studio

Google Data Studio Definition.

A free Google tool that allows users to make customized reports with data from Google marketing services and external sources, such as Excel sheets or csv formatted text files.

Information.

Data Studio is Google’s reporting solution for advanced users who want to go beyond Google Analytics data and dashboards. Data Studio’s data widgets stand out for their variety, customization options, live data and interactive controls (such as column sorting and table paging). Data sources include Google products (Analytics, AdWords, Search Console, Spreadsheets, YouTube, etc.), database connectors, file uploads, and “community” connectors to popular marketing services.

Google Data Studio started as part of the Google Analytics 360 business package. In May 2016, Google announced a free version of Data Studio for individuals and smaller teams. At that time, there were differences between the paid and free versions, such as the number of reports that could be created per account. In February 2017, Google announced free and unlimited reports in its Data Studio.  Since then, the free version of Google Data Studio has continued to add powerful features and usability improvements.
